Duties
Bowhead is looking for a Communication Specialist who can
develop, coordinate, implement and/or administer public
relations and/or government affairs programs within the
Government Contractors industry. Review material intended
for public release to ensure that it represents the best
interests of the company, stockholders and employees and is
consistent with established company public relations
objectives and policies. Plan, prepare, and disseminate
information (e.g. press releases). Provide public affairs,
legislative affairs, policy documentation, and other
strategic communications knowledge and support to internal
organizations as well as external organizations and/or
customers. Plan, prepare, and disseminate information
products concerning the company and/or customer to inform
and educate internal and external audiences on newsworthy
events and developments using newspapers, periodicals, and
audiovisual communication media. Research, write, and edit
articles, speeches, reports, statistical backgrounds, and
talking points representing the company, project, and/or
customer. Research legislative history and analyzes
legislative actions as they relate to assigned programs.
Must be familiar with current knowledge of relevant laws,
regulations, procedures and practices. Attend briefings and
hearings and provides advice on the relevance to the
program. Individuals act as internal experts, consultants
and program/project managers and represent the organization
to external groups, agencies, customers, stockholders and
vendors.
Required Skills
Bachelor degree in Marketing, Business Communication or
other related field of study with 8+ years of experience in
support of DoD or government programs, to include: Public
Affairs or Strategic Communication, Media Relations, Web,
Social Media, and Communication Planning and Execution.
Knowledge of Acquisition Planning. Federal Acquisition
Regulation (FAR) and DoD procurement policies and procedures
(as they relate to public affairs) is preferred but not
required. Demonstrated experience dealing effectively with
high level Government and industry management. DAU Courses
in Acquisition or contract Management preferred. Experience
with DoN programs preferred.

Bowhead is looking for a Financial Analyst who will be
responsible for various financial functions such as
budgeting, auditing, forecasting and analysis. Job
responsibilities are generally more corporate oriented and
broad in scope. Reviews complex financial data received from
managers for inclusion in indirect and forward pricing rate
package submission to the government. Maintains documented
records supporting financial forecasts used in the rate and
budget area. Ensures management understanding of rate and
budget issues. Ensures compliance with internal procedures
and DAR/FAR government regulations. Conducts and may lead
audits. May provide work leadership for lower level
employees.
Required Skills
Bachelor degree in Mathematics, Finance, Cost Estimating,
Business or other related field of study with five to nine
